Jim Murphy
Senior Director - GSE Production
Jim Murphy is a senior vice president on the GSE Production team, based in Destin, Florida. In his role, he is responsible for the origination and structuring of Agency loans for multifamily properties across the United States. Mr. Murphy brings over 25 years of industry experience, having facilitated the origination and underwriting of approximately $13.8 billion in multifamily loans throughout his career. He specializes in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac structured transactions, portfolio transactions, affordable housing, and senior housing.
Prior to Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Murphy served as vice president at CWCapital where he helped originate and underwrite over $4.5 billion in transaction volume through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and capital markets executions. Before that, he was a vice president at Deutsche Bank Berkshire Mortgage, Inc.
Mr. Murphy earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from the State University of New York at Cortland.
