Brett McGuire
Senior Director
With more than a decade of experience in commercial real estate lending, Brett McGuire, Senior Director, is responsible for nationwide loan origination, based out of Walker & Dunlop’s office in Charlotte, NC. Mr. McGuire specializes in the origination of multifamily loans through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA and Walker & Dunlop’s proprietary bridge loan execution. Mr. McGuire has significant experience structuring transactions for conventional multifamily housing, as well as dedicated student housing, manufactured housing and affordable housing.
Mr. McGuire joined Walker & Dunlop in 2003 in the Multifamily Finance underwriting department where he was responsible for underwriting over $800M in conventional and structured loan facility transactions. In 2007, Mr. McGuire joined the new loan origination group, and since that time, has been involved in over $1B of structured financings. Mr. McGuire was a loan officer at Wachovia Bank prior to joining Walker & Dunlop. Mr. McGuire is a Charlotte, NC native and graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Mr. McGuire has held the CCIM designation since 2007.
