Blake Lanford
Managing Director, Multifamily Finance
Blake Lanford is a managing director of Multifamily Finance at Walker & Dunlop, based in Boston, Massachusetts. In his role, he is responsible for trading new-issue agency securities backed by loans originated through our multifamily debt platform, and for providing market intelligence relating to fixed-income markets more broadly.
Prior to his current role at Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Lanford was the vice president of Capital Markets at CWCapital where he was responsible for trading and assisting in strategic corporate initiatives. Before that, he gained experience as both a production and underwriting analyst for Credit Suisse where he was responsible for evaluating risk at the property level during preliminary due diligence.
Mr. Lanford earned his bachelor’s degree in international business from Rollins College, and his master’s degree in business, specializing in finance and real estate from The University of Texas at Arlington. Beyond the company, Mr. Lanford enjoys advocacy work on behalf of the mortgage banking industry, working with a non-profit voluntary health organization, and being an outdoorsman and accomplished endurance athlete.
