Mo Beler
Senior Managing Director - Capital Markets
Mo Beler is a senior managing director of Capital Markets at Walker & Dunlop, based in New York. In his role, he is responsible for leading the sourcing and structuring of equity and structured finance placement for all commercial real estate asset classes nationwide. To date, Mr. Beler has capitalized more than $20 billion worth of real estate transactions, with a primary focus on common LP, preferred equity, and programmatic capital raises.
Mr. Beler joined Walker & Dunlop in June 2020 as part of the acquisition of Beler Advisory Group. Prior to Walker & Dunlop, he was the founder and head of Beler Advisory Group, a boutique real estate advisory firm with a national reach that offered commercial real estate debt solutions, including joint venture equity placement and structured finance. Before founding Beler Advisory Group, Mr. Beler served as vice chairman of New York City Institutional Investment Sales within JLL Capital Markets. While at JLL, he led the investment sales process, overseeing property valuation, marketing, negotiations, and new business development, and was directly involved in commercial transactions totaling more than $2 billion. Before joining JLL, Mr. Beler was principal and head of investments at Innovo Property Group and earlier served as vice president within Rockwood Capital’s acquisition group. Throughout his career, Mr. Beler has generated more than $30 billion in multi-sector and multi-risk investing and advisory experience across the capital stack.
Mr. Beler earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, graduating with high distinction.
