Michael Diaz
Managing Director, Capital Markets
Michael Diaz is a managing director of Capital Markets at Walker & Dunlop, based in New York City. In his role, he spearheads sourcing and structuring debt and equity financing for all commercial real estate asset classes nationally. With an impressive track record spanning two decades in real estate and fund finance, Mr. Diaz has orchestrated more than $25 billion in debt and equity transactions. His expertise has been instrumental in serving a diverse clientele of institutional and private commercial real estate owners and developers since joining Walker & Dunlop in January 2020.
Prior to his current position, Mr. Diaz honed his skills as a managing director at AKS Capital Partners and JLL. In these roles, he focused on crafting innovative financing solutions for a wide array of commercial real estate assets.
Mr. Diaz earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and human and organizational development from Vanderbilt University and his master’s degree in real estate with a specialization in finance and investments from New York University.
