Aaron Krasnow
Managing Director
Aaron Krasnow is a managing director on the Walker & Dunlop Affordable Equity team, based in San Diego, California. In his role, he is responsible for sourcing and structuring LIHTC equity investment opportunities and acquisitions throughout the western U.S. During his 25-year career, he has worked in the LIHTC and affordable housing industries, spending time in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors. He also has experience as a soft money lender, affordable housing developer, investment underwriter, and originator.
Prior to Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Krasnow originated approximately $750 million in federal and state tax credit investments for RBC Community Investments in properties throughout the Mountain West, Midwest, and Southwest. Mr. Krasnow has also been employed with MMA Financial (now Boston Financial), Mercy Housing, and the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency.
Mr. Krasnow earned his bachelor’s degree in urban studies with a focus on land use planning and development from San Francisco State University.
